About us

Our Story

Our Founding Director is a former British soldier who served with the 1st Battalion The Staffordshire Regiment (The Prince of Wales's).

During his 6 years service he deployed with the Stafford's to the Middle East as part of Operation Granby as well as two operational deployments to Northern Ireland.

After leaving the military, Colin entered the retail sector as a Loss Prevention Manager with a well known, successful, Blue-Chip retailer... and didn't look back.

From the outset the desire to succeed was at the forefront of everything, striving to achieve the highest standards, driving the loss prevention strategy and utilising those transferable skills gained in the military proved pivotal.

Colin has held senior Loss Prevention and Profit Protection positions with a major flooring retailer, a well known Franchise network and more recently a senior operational role with a furniture retailer.

As part of a wider Risk Management programme Colin has been responsible for increasing profitability through the development and implementation of cost effective shrink reduction strategies.

He has over 20 years experience conducting commercial investigations into unexplained losses, external theft, fraud, robbery, burglary, vendor fraud, Internal theft, fraud and deception, collusion, breach of contract, fraudulent incident and accident claims, moonlighting, long term absence and more.

In 2019 the opportunity to offer tailored Private Investigation solutions to everyone became a reality... and Pax Animi Investigation Services was born.

How does it work?

As every case is different, our expert private investigators will tailor a strategy to suit each set of unique circumstances. But, there are standard processes that we must complete prior to commencing any investigation, so let's run through how a case enquiry works:

We will need to confirm your identity, understand the scope and objectives of the investigation, and - specifically - what you want to achieve.

We will be clear from the outset advising you what we can and cannot legally do.

During you free consultation we will elicit as much information as possible in relation to the case, which could include: names, addresses, photographs, daily routine, vehicles used, place of work, known associates.

After carefully examining the information and case, we will present a cost-effective strategy that is best suited to your needs, which will include a full and complete breakdown of the associated costs.

Once we receive instructions to begin an investigation, we will ask for payment. For all commercial and legal entities, normal terms of business apply.

We will appoint all necessary resources to enable us to conduct the investigation to the highest standards.

Investigation parameters can change, due to unforeseen circumstances, if this happens, we will keep you updated.

At the end of the investigation, we will provide you with a full and detailed investigation report, including, where applicable, any date-and time-stamped photographic and/or video evidence that is admissible in court.

Post-investigation support: Even after the investigation has been completed and the final report has been filed, we still have a duty of care to you.

We understand that you may well have experienced loss, financially, emotionally and/or physically prior to appointing us, and with your explicit permission, we will contact relevant support groups on your behalf.
